Learning Resource Center Tutoring

Support for Academic Success

If you need help in a class, you're not alone! We offer tutoring programs to help you succeed with your academic goals. Use all available resources early to get the best start in your classes. We are here to help!

Pass the Torch

Pass the Torch offers one-on-one peer tutoring in English, English for Second Language Learners (ESLL), Literature, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students must be enrolled in these courses and complete the enrollment form to participate in the program.

STEM Success Center

The STEM Success Center provides tutoring in Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, Networking, Physics, and Accounting. Our tutors have both academic and industry experience, many of them Instructors themselves. When you need help, stop by the STEM Success Center.

The Writing and Language Center (WLC) offers tutoring in reading, writing, research, study skills, and conversation support across all subjects. Whether you are working on an essay for an English class or a research assignment for your geography class, our tutors are here to help!

Degrees & Certificates by the Numbers

84 Associate Degrees

To earn an associate degree at Foothill College, complete a minimum of 90 degree-applicable units,  including a general education pattern. We offer 84 associate degrees, including 30 for transfer (ADTs) and 40 available fully online.

Choose a Major
2 Bachelor Degrees

We offer two BS degrees — Dental Hygiene and Respiratory Care. For Dental Hygiene, choose a 4-year entry-level or 2-year AS to BSDH completion track. For Respiratory Care, complete your Repiratory Therapy AS degree then apply for the BS progam.

We offer 97 certificates of achievement (requiring 27 units or more), career and skills certificates, and certificates of proficiency and specialization, plus no cost, non-credit certificates.
