We actively serve and promote student success through a curriculum focused on the legacy of the African and African American diasporas.

The mission of the Puente Project is to increase the number of educationally underserved students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations. Puente is open to all interested students.

Our honors program is open to all students from all different backgrounds. Honors courses at Foothill College are open access and you do not need to submit an application to participate in the program.

MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement) supports a diverse population of transfer-ready students to advance their STEM educational journeys in 4-year university programs. MESA @ Foothill is one of many community college programs all across the state of California, supporting students from underrepresented groups to succeed in STEM.

Learning Resource Center Tutoring
Support for Academic Success
If you need help in a class, you're not alone! We offer tutoring programs to help you succeed with your academic goals. Use all available resources early to get the best start in your classes. We are here to help!

Pass the Torch offers one-on-one peer tutoring in English, English for Second Language Learners (ESLL), Literature, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students must be enrolled in these courses and complete the enrollment form to participate in the program.

The STEM Success Center provides tutoring in Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, Networking, Physics, and Accounting. Our tutors have both academic and industry experience, many of them Instructors themselves. When you need help, stop by the STEM Success Center.

The Writing and Language Center (WLC) offers tutoring in reading, writing, research, study skills, and conversation support across all subjects. Whether you are working on an essay for an English class or a research assignment for your geography class, our tutors are here to help!

Degrees & Certificates by the Numbers
To earn an associate degree at Foothill College, complete a minimum of 90 degree-applicable units, including a general education pattern. We offer 84 associate degrees, including 30 for transfer (ADTs) and 40 available fully online.
Choose a MajorWe offer two BS degrees — Dental Hygiene and Respiratory Care. For Dental Hygiene, choose a 4-year entry-level or 2-year AS to BSDH completion track. For Respiratory Care, complete your Repiratory Therapy AS degree then apply for the BS progam.
