The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) assists military veterans, service members, and their dependents in successfully navigating the college experience. We provide personal and academic advisement, workshops, and holistic personal and professional development opportunities to help you transition to Foothill College.
We believe veterans possess unique abilities and characteristics that, when nourished, will help them succeed inside and outside of the classroom.

Supporting Your Success
The VRC provides dedicated, individualized assistance to veterans, active duty personnel, and dependents.
- Information and assistance with education benefits.
- Assistance with applying for state and federal education benefits.
- This includes the CalVet College Fee Waiver for Veteran Dependents, VA Education Benefits, and DoD-Tuition Assistance.
- Referrals to Scholarships.
- VA Work-Study programs.
- Referrals to scholarships.
- A lounge space to enjoy.
- Access to VRC Counselors.
- Computers for your use.
All students planning or using VA Educational Benefits should adhere to our checklist below. These are the steps you need to take each quarter to certify your education benefits.
Certification happens each quarter. Please complete and submit the Request for Certification of Benefits form. Please note that this must be done every quarter you want to be certified.

Book Vouchers
Book vouchers available every quarter to veterans and active duty service members who are currently taking classes.
Access your book list at the Foothill College Bookstore.
Apply Now for a $250 Book Voucher
The book voucher must be utilized at the Foothill Bookstore, for course materials and supplies (i.e. textbooks, online access codes, paper, pencils, notebooks, binders, etc.)
VRC Equipment Loan Program
Did you know that the Veterans Resource Center can support you with a calculator loan? Please inquire at the VRC.
At Foothill, we understand and appreciate the dedication of our veterans, service members, and military dependents. We've built a welcoming and supportive environment. The Veteran Resource Center is the go-to resource, providing comprehensive support to help military affiliated students succeed.
Food insecurity is a concern for students on a fixed income. The VRC provides meals and snacks to support their progress. You can help us stock up on food through our Wish List.
