Fall 2025 Important Dates
Foothill's fall quarter runs Sept. 22–Dec. 12. Registration begins Monday, July 21.
Get Your Registration DateLog in to MyPortal about two weeks before the registration period begins to get your registration date. |
Apply & Register for Fall Quarter
- May 1 – Application opens for new and returning students.
- June 18 – View Fall Class Schedule.
- July 21 – Priority registration begins.
- August 15 – Last day for international students to apply.
- September 22 – Classes begin.
- December 12 – Classes end.
- December 8 – 12 – Final examinations.
Course Registration Dates Based on Priority Enrollment
New students must complete all matriculation steps to receive priority registration for Winter Quarter.
Continuing students must have enrolled during Fall Quarter to qualify for the best registration date.
Students are assigned registration dates in the following order. You may register from your assigned start date through January 4.

| Other students (excess units, degree holders, probation history) | July 31 – Sept. 21 |
Paying Your Fees
Please Remember: Payment in full is required at the time of registration and when adding subsequent classes. You may enroll in an installment payment plan via your MyPortal account.
August 20 & September 3: Drop for nonpayment on cumulative fee balances of $250 or more will occur by end of day.

Deadlines listed below apply to standard 12-week classes. For non-standard classes, check “View Your Class Schedule” in MyPortal.

| Wednesday, October 1 | Last day to petition for a Fall associate degree for transfer (ADT). |
| Friday, October 3 | Last day to add 12-week, quarter-length classes. Add date is enforced. |
| Sunday, October 5 | Last day to drop for a full refund or credit (12-week quarter-length classes). For all other classes, refund/credit deadlines appear in MyPortal. LOG IN to MyPortal > SELECT Apps > Under Students, SELECT Student Registration > VIEW Your Class Schedule. For help, see the MyPortal Registration Guide. All deadlines are enforced. |

| Friday, November 14 | Last day to drop with a “W.” Withdraw date is enforced. |
| Thursday – Sunday, November 27–November 30 | Thanksgiving Holiday Recess (no classes) |
| Monday, Dec. 1 | Deadline to petition for Fall Quarter degree or graduation. |
| Monday – Friday, December 8 – December 12 | Final exams |
| Friday, December 12 | Last day to request pass/no pass grade. Request date is enforced. You may complete the form online in MyPortal before the term begins. Once the term begins, you must submit a signed online form to Admissions & Records. |
