Clockwork Appointment Requirements for Accommodated Testing
How to Book an Accomodated Testing Appointment
A Clockwork Appointment is Required
The Testing & Assessment Center can only proctor exams to DRC students that meet the Clockwork appointment booking deadlines:
- Exams must be booked at least three (3) business days/weekdays in advance of the instructor approved exam date/time.
- Finals exams must be scheduled seven (7) business days/weekdays in advance of the instructor approved exam date/time. Due to the large number of students served during finals week, students may test in different testing labs at their scheduled location.
- Failure to meet appointment booking deadlines will result in the forfeit of testing accommodations and you will be required to take their exam in class.
- Contact the DRC if you cannot find or utilize your MyPortal Clockwork Portal.
- New students must register with the DRC to schedule testing accommodations.

Steps to Set Up Your Accomodated Testing Exam
If you encounter an error message during Step 9, please do the following:
- Make sure you are attempting to book during accommodated testing service offerings (see slide 17 & 18).
- Make sure that you did not include your extended accommodated (i.e. 1.5x or 2x) test time when entering the class test duration in Step 6.
- Visit MyPortal and login using your Student ID # and password.
- On the MyPortal student tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Clockwork.
- Click the option with a picture of a book to make an accommodated testing appointment.
The welcome page provides important information you should know prior to booking your appointment.
- Please refer to your sheet to make sure you are booking it THREE business days in advance.
- Then click "Next".
- Insert the date that you are going to be taking the exam EVEN if it is different than the in-class test date
- If you need to make a test appointment with the Testing & Assessment Center that does
not fall on the same date and time as the in-class exam date and time, do the following:
- Speak to your instructor and gain permission to take the exam at a different date and time.
- Book the test appointment within Accommodated Testing Service hours.
- For the ‘Class Test Duration in minutes’ section, do NOT include your accommodated test time.
- Only enter the in-class exam duration.
- For example if the in-class duration of your exam is one (1) hour and you have 2x accommodated time, insert 60 minutes as your class test duration.
- If your instructor has entered the testing appointment information before you made your appointment, you can click: "Select a previously submitted date and time".
- You can then view your instructor approved exam date and time, if applicable.
- Please only check off the accommodations that you will need for this particular test.
- Available dates and times will be listed for your review.
- Your accommodated testing time automatically be included in your appointment time.
- Review the appointment information and click the acknowledgement button.
You will be testing in the location where you booked your appointment:
- Testing & Assessment Center, 8212, Student Services Building.
- Sunnyvale Center, Testing Services, 211, Student Resource Center.
- Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early.
- An owl card or government issued I.D. will be required at check-in.
- All non-approved testing materials items will be secured in the Center's lockers.
- A testing specialist will review the student's accommodations, review the rules for the exam, and then proctor your exam.
- Should you arrive at any time other than their designated Clockwork appointment time, Testing & Assessment Center staff must contact the instructor for approval to deviate from the appointment time--this can delay your testing start time or result in the cancellation of your appointment.
If your exam is on Monday at 2 p.m., book your appointment via Clockwork before 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Download the Appointment Booking Calendar Guide.
