How We Work

Before submitting a Marketing Work Order Request, please review our workflow process and lead times.

Projects are scheduled based on staff availability, department priorities, and other college initiatives. Allow sufficient time to ensure your project can be completed effectively.

Project Workflow

Here’s what to expect once your request is submitted.
Timelines may vary depending on the project type and complexity.

  1. Submit a work order.
Complete the online form with as much detail as possible.

  2. Schedule an initial consultation.
We’ll meet to confirm goals, assign tasks, and identify any assets needed.

  3. Develop content.
If writing is required, our writer will collaborate with you to produce a draft—typically within one to two weeks.

  4. Design phase.
Once content is approved, your project moves into design. Drafts are usually completed within one to three weeks.

  5. Review and approval.
You’ll review the draft and provide feedback. We’ll make edits and send a final version for approval.

  6. Production and delivery.
Approved projects are sent to print or published online. If applicable, we’ll request your FOAP or ProCard information for vendor processing.

Project Considerations

Before submitting a request, take a moment to think through these key questions:

  • What’s your message?
Keep it clear, concise, and easy to understand. Use bullet points where possible and maintain a friendly, student-focused tone.

  • Who’s your audience?
Identify who you want to reach. The more targeted your audience, the more effective your marketing will be.

  • What type of project do you need?
Are you requesting a webpage, flyer, social media campaign—or all three? Plan your deliverables early for smoother coordination.

  • When is your event or deadline?
Contact us as soon as you begin planning. The more time we have, the better we can support you.

  • How will you distribute materials?
Consider how your materials will reach your audience. Printing and mailing costs are covered by the requesting department, so be sure you have FOAP or ProCard approval from your dean or department head.
