Prepare for a rewarding, high-demand career through Foothill College’s Air Conditioning Mechanic Apprenticeship, offered in partnership with Sheet Metal Local 104 and the Bay Area Industry Training Fund. This five-year registered program lets you earn while you learn, combining paid on-the-job training with college-level instruction that builds the technical and problem-solving skills needed in the HVAC and sheet metal service industry.

You’ll gain real-world experience maintaining and troubleshooting residential, commercial, and industrial heating and cooling systems. Coursework covers refrigeration principles, electronic and pneumatic controls, duct design, air distribution, and energy-efficient system operations, preparing you to work with the latest HVAC technologies. By graduation, you’ll have the practical skills, professional credentials, and industry connections to thrive in California’s growing HVAC workforce.

Air Conditioning Mechanic Features and Benefits
