Plumbing Technology Apprenticeship in California

Begin your career in Plumbing Technology through Foothill College’s Plumbing Technology Apprenticeship Program, offered in partnership with UA Local 62 and UA Local 467. This program combines paid, hands-on training with classroom instruction, preparing you to install, repair, and maintain residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.

Apprentices in the Plumbing Technology program learn to work with water, gas, and waste systems, interpret blueprints, apply plumbing codes, and follow industry safety standards. You’ll earn college credit toward an Associate in Science (AS) degree or Certificate of Achievement (CA) while completing apprenticeship hours recognized by the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards.

Graduates of Foothill’s Plumbing Technology Apprenticeship Program enter the workforce as skilled, union-trained professionals ready for well-paying, high-demand careers in California’s plumbing and construction industries.
