Student Leadership Boards and Their Roles

Each ASFC governance board oversees programs and projects in its area and recommends legislation, policies, codes, and regulations to the ASFC Campus Council. Board chairs may open appointed or agent positions at their discretion when additional support is needed.

Campus Council is made up of eight boards, which are listed below. Each board's meeting time, elected students, and specific charges are outlined in the pages linked below. All positions, open or closed, are outlined on each individual page.

Council Meeting Link and Information

The ASFC Campus Council meets weekly on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. in Toyon Room (2020). For other meetings, reference the information further down on this page.

Brown Act Compliant

Agendas will be posted in the Public Files below and physically outside the room of which the meeting is held 72 hours before the meeting. Minutes will be available in the Public Files below 96 hours after the meeting. 

Activities Board

Develops and recommends legislation, policies, codes, and ASFC activities for events, marketing, media, and communications. The board plans and hosts major student events such as New Student Orientation, Heritage Series, campus socials, holiday events, and Graduation/Commencement, both in person and online.

President’s Board

Responsible for recommending legislation, policies, codes, and ASFC activities related to parliamentary procedure, documentation of proceedings, institutional research, student rights, and affirmative action.

Finance Board

Develops and recommends legislation, policies, codes, and ASFC activities focused on program funding, budgeting, fundraising, and ASFC business operations.

Administration Board

Recommends legislation, policies, codes, and activities related to marketing, OwlCard benefits, elections, legislation, public relations, the Campus Center, technology, and general ASFC office administration.

Senate Board

Communicates student concerns to the ASFC Campus Council and provides feedback from Council to students. Recommends legislation, policies, codes, and activities needed to address student needs and improve the student experience.

Inter-Club Council (ICC)

Responsible for recommending legislation, policies, codes, and ASFC activities for club management, club finance, events, and

elections. Supports and coordinates all Foothill College clubs.
