Energy Technologies Lab

What is the Energy Technologies Lab?

At the Energy Technologies Lab, explore renewable energy and sustainability technologies, and how they can power a greener, more resilient future. Stop by and learn how energy sources can provide a sustainable future for all of Earth’s denizens.

The Energy Technologies Lab, along with six other Technology Labs, plus the ProtoLab (Prototype Lab), make up the Emerging Technologies Institute (ETI).

Energy Technologies Lab Location

STEM Center, Room 4204

Inside the Energy Technologies Lab, you can:

  • Use the lab as a test space for projects and experiments involving energy systems.
  • Share findings and knowledge across campus to help build awareness for energy and sustainability work at Foothill.
  • Access training and resources — the lab supports students, faculty, and staff who want to learn or teach about emerging energy technologies.
  • Support course-related work and curriculum that involve energy sciences, engineering, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Experience exhibits and demonstrations of energy technologies and sustainable systems, on both the Los Altos Hills campus and at the Sunnyvale Center.
  • Participate in Foothill College-wide events where energy-tech demos and outreach happen.
