What is the Quantum Technologies Lab?

The QTech Lab is Foothill’s hub for exploring quantum computing, where students, faculty, and staff get to experiment with cutting-edge quantum technologies. From hardware and software, to conceptual tools reshaping computing, learn by doing in the Quantum Technologies Lab.

Inside the Quantum Technologies Lab, you can:

  • Explore quantum-computing hardware and software, engage with real quantum tools and systems.
  • Test and tinker — experiment with quantum computing platforms, run simulations, and see how quantum theory translates into computing models.
  • Work on class projects or independent experiments, whether part of your coursework or out of personal curiosity, get access to lab resources and mentorship.
  • Attend training sessions, demos, and workshops designed for beginners and advanced STEM students.
  • Participate in lab exhibits and live demos — both at the Los Altos Hills campus and the Sunnyvale Center — to showcase quantum-tech work or explore what others have built.
